About the Field Kitchen

We opened the Field Kitchen café and delicatessen in 2011 in the Church Hall, a beautiful flint stone building originally used as a schoolhouse for the village of Nettlebed in 1846.

I'm from New Zealand, and I wanted to bring the Kiwi

al-fresco café culture to our little slice of England. We're proud to source cheeses, meats and dairy products from local Oxfordshire producers, and we stock the highest-quality fruits and vegetables and Mediterranean specialties for our salads, sandwiches and baked goods that we make in-house from scratch every morning.

 

Dave's enthusiasm for coffee has earned us a reputation for strong Italian espresso and other caffeinated delights!
